I quietly celebrated 5 years as Pastor of Silica Springs Baptist Church yesterday. I want to thank God for what he has done and is doing. I never dreamed that I'd see the things that he has allowed! Also, I want to thank the members, both past and present, for what they allowed the Lord to do through them. "Preacher, have you thought about this...." has been a welcome question many times over in the past 5 years. I've been thinking about some of the milestones we've crossed and want you to reflect on the goodness of God. * I think about all of the members that have been "promoted unto glory in the past 5 years. We miss you all. *I think about the number of people who have received Christ and I'm glad that we were able to see the Lord work. * Those saved at the church * Revival 2018 * Bus ministry * 30 plus Missionaries ($120,000 sent in 5yr) .* Some of you have grown in the Lord and you led your first soul to Christ. Others of you read your Bible through or taught a class. Its been a blessing to see God work out of you what was in you! *Many of you, past and present, sacrificed for physical needs at the church. God moved you to help with money, time, skill. Because of that a debt free, beautiful facility now stands. As we enter 2019, Let's CELEBRATE THE GOODNESS OF GOD and LET'S KEEP WORKING TILL JESUS COMES! I'm going soulwinning today, gearing up for service tomorrow, praying for the upcoming revival, Wanting further into my Bible, Expecting more from my self in service , AND LOVING EVERY MOMENT BEING YOUR PASTOR! I've been talking with Chris's brother and this has been a work in progress. Chris, as you know, was in a crash Thanksgiving week and broke his Femur, ankle, arm, and lacerated his liver. Between 4 surgeries and an extended stay in ICU he will have 1,000s of dollars of medical bills. His insurance is 80% but I'm sure he will have $20,000 or more dollars in his expense. Former Sheriff Billy D Blanton has set up the GoFUNDME acct and we are directing everyone to it.
